Empowering Women and Advancing Health: Recent Initiatives in Taraba State



In a series of impactful developments, Her Excellency, Mrs Agyin Kefas, Wife of the Governor of Taraba State, has spearheaded initiatives aimed at fostering economic empowerment, clean energy, and the health of the community.

1. Partnership with Solar Sisters Nigeria:

Today, a historic Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Wife of the Governor and Solar Sisters Nigeria, a leading solar entrepreneurship organization. The collaboration is set to empower women entrepreneurs across the 3 senatorial zones of Taraba State. This visionary partnership not only promotes economic growth but also underscores the commitment to sustainable practices through the utilization of clean energy.


Solar Sisters Nigeria, renowned for its innovative approach to solar entrepreneurship, will play a pivotal role in providing women with the tools and training needed to become impactful contributors to the clean energy sector. 2. Strengthening the Fight Against HIV/AIDS

In another significant move, Mrs Agyin Kefas convened fruitful meetings with representatives from Taraba AIDS Control Agency (TACA) and the National Human Rights Commission. The discussions centered around fostering collaborations to intensify the fight against HIV/AIDS in Taraba State and concurrently promote and protect human rights.
